Keep The Packets Alive!
Pecos Valley Amateur Radio Club Vice President Jim Tucker, (KB0QNW), is reminding all packet operators to keep packet alive by remembering to send a message to someone occasionally. Our packet skills, like any other, can grow stale and rusty if we don't exercise them once in a while. In an attempt to help us remember, Jim is sending a monthly reminder to area packeteers' mailboxes requesting some kind of reply. This will keep the spirit of packet alive in the Pecos Valley and hopefully revive the art around the state and region.
Rick Sohl, (K5RIC), has vowed to re-enable the Buck Mountain digipeater upon his next trip to the mountain site. This will give Pecos Valley packet stations many options to link in to other digipeaters and stations across the state.
